Sweet peas can be trained to grow up canes for high-quality blooms, or allowed to scramble up a trellis or obelisk. They make excellent cut flowers. Plants need a cool moist root run, and regular watering in dry weather.

Lathryrus odoratus 'Noel Sutton' is a Spencer-type sweet pea, bearing large, fragrant violet-blue flowers on long stems. It’s excellent for cutting and is also suitable for exhibiting. Plants grow to a height of 180cm.

For best results, feed Lathyrus odoratus 'Noel Sutton' with a high potash fertiliser once a fortnight, and cut blooms regularly to prolong flowering.
