Persicaria bistorta subsp. carnea is beautiful herbaceous perennial, widely considered a more elegant and pared back version of Persicaria bistorta ‘Superba’. It bears short spikes of rosy pink flowers over clumps of rich green leaves, throughout summer and well into autumn. Quick to spread, it’s ideal for using as ground cover in sun or partial shade, and its blooms are loved by bees and other pollinators.

Grow Persicaria bistorta subsp. carnea in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Cut back after flowering and divide congested clumps every three years.
