Polyanthus hybrid primulas are popular spring bedding plants, flowering in a range of colours from bright pink, purple and yellow to more sedate green.
Primula ‘Francesca’ bears ruffled, apple green flowers with a pale yellow eye from March to July. It’s perfect for growing at the front of spring borders, naturalised in grass and in container displays. Once cut, flowers have an excellent shelf life, and look fantastic in spring floral arrangements.
For best results grow Primula ‘Francesca’ in moist but well-drained soil in partial shade. Allow to self-seed or collect seed and sow it fresh onto a gritty, moist seed compost.
