A particularly hardy rose, Rosa 'Wild Edric' bears pretty, semi-double flowers in a deep velvet-purple-pink, with golden-yellow stamens. Both the stamens and petals have a strong fragrance – the stamens smell of cloves, while the petals have more of a classic old rose perfume.

Best for informal situations, grow Rosa 'Wild Edric' in a mixed, herbaceous border or as a hedge.

For best results, deadhead spent flowers and feed fortnightly with a potash-rich fertiliser.
