Sorbus rosea 'Rosiness' is an attractive rowan prized for its large pink flowers and berries, native to Kashmir in northern Pakistan.

It's a small, shrubby tree with an open habit, reaching an eventual height of 4m. Sorbus rosea 'Rosiness' is the perfect tree for year-round interest: its dark green, pinnate leaves turn red in autumn before falling, and its reddish bark has silvery markings. Soft-pink spring flowers are borne in profusion in spring, followed by large, pink-flushed berries which deepen in colour as autumn progresses, and hold well into winter.

Grow Sorbus rosea 'Rosiness' in moist but well-drained sun in full sun to partial shade. Propagate from softwood cuttings taken in early summer. Pruning is usually unnecessary.
