Tiarellas have heuchera-like leaves, which are often spotted or patterned with mahogany blotches and develop a rich red hue in autumn. In late spring and early summer, short upright spikes of foamy flowers are held just above the foliage. Plants look best grown as ground cover in shady wild and woodland gardens, or in shady borders planted with hardy ferns and hostas.

Tiarella 'Spring Symphony' has pretty, deeply lobed green leaves with a dark central blotch, with contrasting spikes of tiny star-shaped, white flowers. It's ideal for using as ground cover and edging paths in moist, shady parts of the garden.

For best results grow Tiarella 'Spring Symphony' in moist but well-drained soil in partial to full shade.
