Trilliums are spring-flowering woodland plants, native to Asia and North America. Some have bright flowers and variegated foliage, while others have fresh green leaves and white flowers. They thrive in sheltered, shady gardens in moist but well-drained soil.

Trillium flexipes is native to North America, where it's found growing in forested hill tops, in alkaline soil. It bears fresh green foliage and several stalks of outward-facing, cream-white flowers from mid-April.

For best results grow Trillium flexipes in moist but well-drained soil in shade. Plants may be propagated from seed but will take three years to flower. Given the right conditions, established plants are long-lived.
