What are the main features of the John Deere R43B Cordless Mower?
This mower has a long charge time of 120 mins and a run time of 20 minutes, long enough to mow a 320m² lawn on a single charge. It has seven heights of cut, ranging from 22-80mm and a large 55L fabric collection bag with a handy flap that indicates when the bag is full. The deck is aluminium and it has a three-in-one mowing system so you can choose to collect clippings, leave them as a mulch on the lawn to feed the grass or discharge them from the side of the mower, back on to the lawn. It comes with a safety plug but the battery power level is not visible as you mow.
What is John Deere R43B Cordless Mower like to use?
The John Deere R43B came fully assembled from the dealer, so there was no battling with handles or grass boxes with this mower. The handlebar height can be adjusted into three positions for different height users and the height of cut is adjusted by lifting the mower and pushing a button – this is heavier and more awkward than others with a similar design. It's quite a heavy mower but it handles well and gives a good clean cut, mowing to the edge but only on the left hand side as the discharge chute is on the right. The mower stops and beeps when the grass bag is full but for the price a battery indicator that was visible while mowing would be helpful.

The handle folds in half and then flat over the body of the mower for easy storage. Carry handles on the front and back of the deck makes it easier to lift, but this is a heavy machine and most people will need help lifting and carrying it around.
