What is the Spear and Jackson Select Stainless Weeder & Fulcrum like?
Made from rust resistant, mirror polished stainless steel with a contoured plastic handle this weeding tool has a long thin head with a forked end and rounded fulcrum to aid leverage. The handle has a hanging hole at the end
Is the Spear and Jackson Select Stainless Weeder & Fulcrum comfortable to use?
This tool is sturdy and strong but light and the soft, ergonomic handle makes it feel comfortable in the hand and easy to use.
Does the Spear and Jackson Select Stainless Weeder & Fulcrum perform well?
The long, forked narrow head is great at getting down into the ground and the fulcrum makes levering out stubborn weeds easy. This tool is great for spot weeding on the lawn or in between plants in beds and on the veg patch – it’s not for dealing with large weedy areas or for tackling patches of clumping weeds like couch grass. Our only niggle is that the fulcrum can get clogged with damp soil. This doesn’t affect performance but does need cleaning out after use.
Is the Spear and Jackson Select Stainless Weeder & Fulcrum value for money?
This may be towards the higher end of the price range in our test but this weeding tool is strong and well made and does the job well, making light work of difficult individual weeds. It comes with a ten-year warranty and we think it’s excellent value for money.
