Venus flytrap is one of the most frequently grown carnivorous plants – people can't get enough of their snapping leaves. Grow it in full sun in a warm, bright room and keep well watered with rainwater.

Pretty and compact, Acer palmatum ‘Taylor’ is perfect for smaller gardens, pots and patios, and will provide impact and colour throughout the year. In spring, the dainty, dissected leaves emerge salmon-pink, covering the bush in a soft peach glow, before maturing to a variegated lime-green and cream as summer progresses. Then, in autumn, they turn a uniform lime green before falling in winter.
